1. About These Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the My Pet Year website and services (the "Service"), operated by Paper Code Adrianna Błaszczyńska ("we", "us", or "our").
By using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
You must be at least 18 years old to use this Service.
2. Our Service
My Pet Year generates personalized products featuring your pet, available as digital files and/or professionally printed. Our products include multi-image items (e.g. calendars: 12 monthly images plus a PDF) and single-image items (e.g. posters).
What you get:
- Calendars: 12 AI-generated monthly images featuring your pet, high-resolution printable PDF, individual image files; optional professionally printed calendar (A4/A3 for UK/AU, Letter/Ledger for US/CA)
- Posters: One AI-generated image; digital download and/or professionally printed poster (sizes vary by region)
Photo requirements:
- Upload only images you own or for which you have permission to use and submit for processing
- Many products focus on pets (dogs, cats, or similar companion animals); follow the on-screen guidance for the product you select
- Where a product allows people in the image, you may include people only if they are adults aged 18 or older; the image must be yours or one you are authorized to submit; and you must have consent (or another lawful authorization) from any adult depicted. You must not upload images that depict minors (anyone under 18) as human subjects in the output
- Specific limits (for example, how many pets, composition tips) and any automated checks (such as face detection when people are not intended for that product) depend on the product you select—follow the instructions shown in the Service for that product
- Calendars: for best results, use about 2 pets per order; if pets are different genders, select "Mixed"; more than 2 pets may produce less predictable results
- Mismatch with the product: Uploads that do not meet posted requirements (including prominent human faces on products not designed to include people) may produce poor or unusable outputs and may not be eligible for refunds (Section 7). You are responsible for meeting posted rules and for rights and—where people are allowed—consent for adults depicted.
Match the product you choose
Uploading content that does not match the posted requirements for the product you selected—including, for pet-focused products, prominent human faces when that product is not designed to include people—may result in:
- Distorted, mixed, or unusable images
- Anatomically incorrect outputs
- No refund eligibility (see Section 7)
You are solely responsible for ensuring your uploads comply with the requirements shown for that product, and that you have rights to the image and—where people are allowed—consent (or equivalent lawful authorization) for any adult (18+) depicted.
Self-printing: For digital orders, you can print the files yourself. Print quality depends on your printer and settings. For print orders, we provide professionally printed products shipped to you.
3. Your Responsibilities
When using the Service, you agree to:
- Provide accurate information
- Upload only photos you own or have permission to use
- Follow Section 2 for all photo and upload rules (ownership, permissions, product-specific limits, people in images where allowed, and mismatch/refund consequences)
- Not upload illegal, offensive, or inappropriate content
- Not upload photos containing nudity, sexual content, or content violating others' rights
- Not attempt to reverse engineer or disrupt the Service
You are responsible for the content you upload and how you use the generated output.
We may refuse, suspend, or cancel processing or fulfillment when an upload or order violates law, these Terms, or posted product requirements, where we reasonably determine that is necessary.
4. Intellectual Property
Your photos: You retain ownership of photos you upload. By uploading, you grant us a limited license to process them for product generation. This license ends when files are deleted (30 days after delivery). Where the product allows people in the image, you represent that you have the rights to submit the photo and consent (or other lawful authorization) for any adult (18+) depicted.
Generated content: We don't claim ownership of your generated files. You may use them for personal, non-commercial use without time limit. You may print them for yourself or as gifts, and share on personal social media.
You may not resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit the generated files.
Our platform: The My Pet Year platform, software, and branding are owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws.
5. AI-Generated Content
The Service uses automated image generation technology. You acknowledge that:
- Generated images are stylized and artistic, not exact replicas
- Your pet's appearance may vary between months
- Specific traits or markings may not be perfectly preserved
- Results depend on photo quality and composition
- Generated content may not be unique
Free preview: The free preview you see before purchase is a representation of the product. The final delivered item may slightly vary from the preview.
We do not guarantee perfect likeness or suitability for any purpose beyond personal use.
6. Print Orders & Shipping
Print Options
Print orders include digital files (delivered immediately) plus a professionally printed product (shipped separately). Available sizes depend on your location. For single-image products (e.g. posters), the printed item is shipped when ready; there is no 24-hour review window.
- UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand & Netherlands: A4 (210 × 297 mm) or A3 (297 × 420 mm)
- US & Canada: Letter (8.5 × 11 in) or Ledger (11 × 16.5 in)
24-Hour Review Window
For calendar print orders, you receive digital files first (typically within 10 minutes). You have 24 hours to:
- Review all 12 images and PDF
- Request changes by emailing orders@mypetyear.com
- Approve early by replying "APPROVED"
If we don't hear from you within 24 hours, printing proceeds automatically.
Shipping
- Shipping is included in print order pricing
- Processing: 1-3 business days after the 24-hour review window
- Delivery: Typically 6-8 business days after shipping, but may take up to 15 business days depending on carrier and location
- You must provide an accurate shipping address and phone number
- Currently available: United Kingdom, United States, Canada, Australia, Ireland, New Zealand, and Netherlands

Lost Packages:
Contact us at support@mypetyear.com if your package is lost. We'll file a claim and, once confirmed lost, reprint/reship at no cost or provide a refund.
7. Payments & Refunds
Quick Reference:
- Report issues within 14 days of delivery
- Digital files: Refund/regeneration if defective or not as described
- Printed products: Free reprint first, refund if we can't resolve
- Damaged on arrival: Free reprint or refund
- Lost in shipping: Free reprint/reship or refund
- Uploads that violate posted product rules: No refund
Payments
- Payment required before product generation
- Processed securely through our payment provider
- Prices displayed at checkout (may include applicable taxes)
- If you select a print option, your order includes digital files + printed product + shipping
Cancellation
This is a personalized digital product delivered immediately. By purchasing:
- The Service begins immediately upon payment
- You cannot cancel once generation starts
- EU/EEA/UK customers: By requesting immediate performance, you waive the 14-day withdrawal right
Print orders: Digital files cannot be cancelled. For calendar print orders, you may cancel printing within the 24-hour review window by contacting us before approval/auto-print.
Refunds
Contact us at support@mypetyear.com within 14 days of delivery. Digital files are only available for 30 days after delivery (see Section 8); download promptly.
A) Defects or Non-Delivery:
If files are missing, corrupted, not delivered, don't match the description, or show the wrong pet (wrong species, unrecognizable), we'll fix it or provide a refund.
B) Subjective Dissatisfaction:
If delivered as described but you don't like the style or likeness, we may offer regeneration or refund at our discretion, assessed fairly based on photo quality and service description.
C) Uploads That Violate Posted Product Rules (No Refund):
No refund if uploads did not meet posted requirements for the product you selected (wrong image type, disallowed content, too many pets where stated, minors as human subjects where people are allowed, or other posted rules). Adults (18+) in an upload are not, by themselves, a violation when the product allows people and pets. Poor results from such rule breaks are not defects.
D) Damaged Printed Products:
Contact us immediately when you notice damage, but no later than 14 days after delivery, with photos of the issue. We'll reprint free or refund if reprinting isn't possible. Applies to physical defects (torn pages, misprints, damaged packaging), not issues visible in digital files.
8. Delivery & File Storage
- Digital files: Delivered via email, typically within 10 minutes (may take up to 24 hours)
- Printed calendars: 1-3 days processing after 24-hour review, then typically 6-8 business days delivery (may take up to 15 business days)
- Posters: Digital poster delivered via email with download link; printed posters shipped per print delivery times
- Technical failures: We'll re-run generation at no extra charge
File Storage:
Your generated files are available for download for 30 days after delivery.
Download immediately - we cannot recover files after 30 days.

9. Limitation of Liability
We provide the Service without warranties about availability, performance, or results. Where permitted by law:
- We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
- Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the order
Mandatory Rights: Nothing limits liability for death/injury from negligence, fraud, or other liability that cannot be excluded under consumer protection law.
10. Termination & Indemnification
Termination: We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms. You may stop using the Service at any time. Upon termination, you keep any files already downloaded.
Indemnification: You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your uploaded content, use of the Service, violation of these Terms, or infringement of third-party rights.
11. Legal & Disputes
Governing Law: These Terms are governed by the laws of Poland. Disputes will be brought in Polish courts, unless mandatory consumer law provides you the right to use your local courts.
Consumer Rights: Nothing affects your mandatory consumer rights under applicable law. For EU/EEA/UK customers: We acknowledge the EU Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU) and UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.
Regional privacy (U.S., Canada, Australia): Additional rights and disclosures for California and other U.S. states, Canada, and Australia are in our Privacy Policy.
Dispute Resolution: Please contact us first at support@mypetyear.com to resolve issues informally.

12. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be noted by updating the date and/or notifying you. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
13. General Provisions
If any provision is found invalid, the remaining provisions continue in effect.
These Terms and our Privacy Policy constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service.
14. AI Assistant
We provide an AI-powered chat assistant to help answer questions about our service. By using the AI Assistant, you acknowledge and agree to the following:
AI Assistant data
How we store and use chat data is described in our Privacy Policy (including under AI Assistant Chat Data).
AI-Generated Responses:
- Responses are generated by artificial intelligence and may not always be accurate, complete, or up-to-date
- The AI Assistant provides general information only and is not a substitute for reading our official Terms of Service and Privacy Policy
- Information provided by the AI Assistant does not constitute legal, financial, or professional advice
Limitations:
- The AI Assistant cannot process payments, create orders, or access your account
- The AI Assistant cannot modify or cancel existing orders

Your Responsibility:
- You are responsible for verifying any information provided by the AI Assistant
- For definitive answers about pricing, policies, or your specific order, contact us at support@mypetyear.com
- Do not share sensitive personal information (passwords, payment details) with the AI Assistant
Limitation of Liability:
We are not liable for any decisions made or actions taken based on information provided by the AI Assistant. The limitations of liability set forth in Section 9 apply to the AI Assistant. In case of any conflict between AI Assistant responses and these Terms or our Privacy Policy, the official written policies prevail.
