The trick of it

No questions that spoil the surprise

Most personalised gifts interrogate you first. An address, a size, a favourite colour, and suddenly the recipient knows something is coming.

A pet portrait needs one photo of their pet, and it is usually already on your phone, or in a message they sent you. If it is not, one easy text gets it without giving anything away. You check the likeness in a free preview before paying a penny, and nothing arrives at their door unless you choose to ship it there.

How the portraits are made

Who is it for?

Match the style to the person, not the pet. When in doubt, Modern Portrait with their pet's name on it works in the most homes.

A custom pet calendar hanging on a wall

The other gift

A year of them

One photo becomes twelve months, in a photographic or oil-painting style. It hangs on their wall being looked at every day, and it can run the next twelve months instead of January to December, so a calendar given in June is a full year, not half of one.

Leaving it late? The digital calendar arrives by email within minutes, and here is how to give it well.

Ruth Hall

★★★★★

“We love them. I have redone my big bathroom and I'm going to hang the three portraits. These pictures are great and I would refer anybody to get a portrait. They're well worth it.”

Katherine Glenn Giguere

★★★★★

“Details matter! I specifically asked for certain months to be adjusted a bit so my dog looked more girly and the results were fabulous”

Claire D

★★★★★

“Great dialogue on how I wanted the canvas to look. No request Was a problem. Fantastic one to one support and an out of this world canvas received. Can’t recommend this enough.”

Questions

Gift questions, answered

Can I order without the recipient finding out?
Yes. The digital version arrives at your email, not theirs, so nothing lands at their door unless you order a printed version shipped to their address. The one photo you need is probably already on your phone.
What if I have left it to the last minute?
The digital portrait or calendar arrives by email within minutes of ordering, usually well inside ten. Print one copy at home to wrap, and the full artwork is already in your inbox. There is a whole guide to doing this well.
Can a printed gift be shipped straight to them?
Yes. Enter their address as the shipping address at checkout, and check it carefully, because it cannot be changed once the order is placed. Shipping is included in the price wherever we deliver.
Is there a gift card?
Not at the moment. The closest thing is ordering the digital portrait and printing one copy to wrap, which most people find lands better than a voucher anyway.
