Calendars
When to order a pet calendar
There are two answers, and they are very different. A printed calendar has a real deadline. A digital one does not have any.

When should you order a pet calendar for Christmas?
For a printed calendar arriving before Christmas, order by early December. Production takes one to three business days after a 24 hour review window, and shipping typically takes six to eight business days. Ordering in the first days of December rather than the middle costs nothing extra and buys you a week of margin for a carrier delay.
The date to actually aim for
Early December. Not because the maths demands it, but because December is when carriers are slowest and a calendar that arrives on 27 December is a calendar that arrives wrong.
How long does a pet calendar take to arrive?
The digital files arrive first, usually within ten minutes. You then have 24 hours to review them and request changes. Printing starts after that and takes one to three business days, and delivery typically takes six to eight business days, occasionally up to fifteen.
| Stage | How long |
|---|---|
| Digital files by email | About 10 minutes, up to 24 hours at peak |
| Your review and change window | 24 hours |
| Printing and packing | 1 to 3 business days |
| Shipping, included in the price | 6 to 8 business days, occasionally up to 15 |
These are estimates rather than guarantees. Carrier delays and customs are outside anyone's control, which is the real argument for ordering a week earlier than you think you need to.
What if you have left it too late?
The digital calendar has no shipping cutoff. It arrives by email in about ten minutes as a print-ready PDF plus twelve 4K images, though at the busiest times of year it can take up to 24 hours. If you are buying on 23 December, that is the version to buy, and buying the night before is cutting it fine.
- Print the first month at home or at a print shop, and give that with the file
- Send the PDF and let them choose their own paper and size
- The images also work as phone and desktop wallpapers, which nothing printed does
Is it too late to buy a calendar in the middle of the year?
No. Alongside the fixed January to December calendar there is a Next 12 Months option that starts from a recent month rather than from January. Checkout shows you the exact range before you pay. Either way you get a full twelve months, not the remainder of someone else's year.
This is the part most people do not expect. A shop calendar bought in June is half wasted, so the habit is to only think about calendars in December. A calendar that does not start in January is a birthday present, a moving-in present, or a memorial gift at the point it is actually needed.
Should you choose the fixed year or the next 12 months?
Choose the fixed year if the calendar is a Christmas or New Year gift and you want it to line up with everyone else's. Choose the next 12 months if you are buying at any other point in the year, or if the gift is for a birthday. Both are twelve seasonal pages.
| Fixed year | Next 12 months | |
|---|---|---|
| Runs | January to December | Twelve months from a recent start month, shown at checkout |
| Best for | Christmas and New Year gifts | Birthdays, and any month that is not December |
| Pages | Twelve seasonal months | Twelve seasonal months |
Can you see it before you commit?
Yes, and before you pay. Upload a photo and you get a free preview of how your pet will look, with the option to regenerate it if the likeness is off. Print orders then get a further 24 hour window to request changes before anything goes to the printer.
The review window is worth using rather than skipping. It is the cheapest point at which a wrong colour or an odd expression can be fixed, and it is the reason the printed timeline starts a day after the digital one.
Common questions
Can I order a printed calendar as a gift sent straight to someone else?
Yes. Enter their address as the shipping address at checkout. Do it carefully though: the shipping address cannot be changed once the order is placed.
Do I get the digital files if I order the printed calendar?
Yes. Print orders include the digital files, and you receive them first. That is what the 24 hour review window is for.
How long can I download my files for?
The download links are time-limited and the files are deleted permanently once that window closes. Save them to your device as soon as the email arrives rather than leaving them in your inbox.
Is shipping extra?
No. Shipping is included in the printed calendar price in every country we ship to.
